DESCRIPTION:In September 2016\, Nanna received private lessons in Nagoya fr
 om shibori-sensei (teacher / expert) who mastered over a hundred technique
 s of shibori dyeing. In this course\, which requires no prior knowledge\, 
 we practice the shibori reserve dyeing methods (itajime) and the embroider
 y (ori-nui) with white cotton. The white original color is obtained after 
 the dyeing process only at the points of the folded fabric\, which are cla
 mped between two wooden blocks. Simple folding creates amazing patterns!\n
 \nIn the second technique (photo on the right)\, the fabric is prepared wi
 th pre-priming before dyeing. Typical Japanese pattern can be created or p
 roduced creative designs "free-hand". Before the practical exercises\, an 
 introduction will explain the history of shibori art in Japan. All practic
 al steps will be first explained with by means of diagrams. There is enoug
 h time for your own creative implementation.\n\n Please bring along (if av
 ailable):  Small fabric scissors\, larger pointed needles\, white cotton f
 abric and crochet yarn.
