SUMMARY:Workshop: modus ry engages nanna during finnish craft & design fair
  in tampere
DESCRIPTION:The Finnish Craft and Design Fair "Kädentaidot messu" annually
  takes place in November in Tampere\, Finland. It has grown to become Euro
 pe's largest crafts event and it attracted almost 42.000 visitors to acqui
 nt themselves with the activities and programs of over 700 exhibitors in 2
 023. This year's motto is Be boldly yourself!  \n\nThe 3-day crafts and de
 sign event cherishes Finnish hand skills and artisan know-how. Professiona
 ls and hobbyists mix and mingle bringing much needed light and joy in the 
 middle of the November grey. \n\nNanna first came in contact with Modus ry
  at this Tampere fair in 2022. This year she was accepted as member of Mod
 us ry Pirkanmaa design\, arts and crafts association (Pirkanmaan muotoilu-
  ja taideteollisuusyhdistys Modus ry)\, an active Erasmus+ accredited orga
 nization. \n\nAt the Modus stand in the big hall with the main stage\, Nan
 na is invited to run "Communal Stitching Workshops" on both Friday (12-14 
 and 15-17 o'clock) and Saturday (12-14 o'clock). Everyone is warmy welcome
  to take part in the fun joint textile project. No prior knowledge is need
 ed. The stitching has a calming effect on most people. You can sit quietly
  to yourself and work on leaving your own marks on the cloth. You stitch o
 n a common piece of fabric that is draped on the table. Maybe you wish to 
 challenge your friends to a round of stitching? Nanna shares fun stories o
 f the existing "yarn-markings" in her own communal table cloth. Some of th
 e tales are very touching. Let your creativity be your guide. The sky ist 
 the limit.  \n\nAll material\, e.g. coloful threads in various thicknesses
 \, yarns\, beads\, buttons and ribbons are available for the project. Also
  motive-ideas\, though Nanna prefers everyone's imagination to work the be
 st. Let us learn from and with each other and share thoughts during a rela
