DESCRIPTION:SYMPOSIUM (3-5 pm) and OPENING (6-8 pm) of 9.EQT-Tampere on (Fr
 i) 16 January 2026\n\nInternational quilt art will be on display in Finlan
 d in 2026\, when the 9th European Quilt Triennale\, a triennial exhibition
  of contemporary textile art\, comes to Tampere for the first time. The ex
 hibition draws from a large Europe-wide competition\, initiated by Dr. Kri
 stine Scherer of the Max Berk Textile Collection in Heidelberg\, brings a 
 selection of top-level European quilt artworks to the Finlayson area.\n\n9
 .EQT (9th European Quilt Triennale)\nconsists of contemporary modern texti
 le and patchwork artworks made in Europe\, selected by an international ju
 ry. Nanna was for a second time part of the EQT-committee. They selected 4
 5 works for the exhibition\, which began in Heidelberg in 2025 and also in
 cludes two Finnish works: Marita Lappalainen's "A House" and "Touch" by Le
 ena Illukka.\nThe 9th EQT toured in Germany and Switzerland during 2025.\n

 \n9th EQT exhibition catalogues will be available for purchase at the symp
 osium and opening ceremony for €20 in cash.\n\nPLEASE NOTE: The Terde sp
 ace is divided into two floors. Unfortunately\, the premises are not wheel
 chair accessible: the lower floor of the Terde space\, where the symposium
  will be held\, cannot be accessed by wheelchair or walker.\n\nDuring the 
 exhibition opening hours a varied program is organized with the collaborat
 ions partners\, like workshops\, talks\, and guided tours in three differe
 nt languages (FI\, EN\, GER).\n\nNanna's open guided tours:\nWednesdays at
  2:30 pm in English\nFridays at 2:30 pm in Finnish\nSundays at 2:30 pm in
