Die Atelierwerkstatt-Hinterhoftür steht am diesjährigen ETAK-Freitag und am Samstag offen. Wie letztes Jahr ist Nanna wieder am ETAK-Sonntag (14 - 16 Uhr) ins Textilmuseum Max Berk Heidelberg (Zweigstelle des Kurpfälsischischen Museums Heidelberg) mit ihrer diesjährigen Kooperationspartnerin eingeladen. ETAK findet am gleichen Wochenende in allen Mitgliederländern Europas statt. Die Initiative JEMA "Journées européennes des metiers d'art", auf deutsch ETAK, wurde 2002 in Paris, Frankreich gelauncht. Dieses Jahr nehmen 24 europäische Länder am Event teil.

Nanna, eine gebürtige Finnin, ist Mitglied im BdK "Bund der Kunsthandwerker Baden-Württemberg e.V." seit 2017. In der Atelierwerkstatt _nannatextiles werden keine Textilprodukte für den Textilmarkt erzeugt, obwohl Webstühle im hinteren Bereich des Souterrains aufgebaut sind. Nannas Tätigkeiten in der "Welt der Textilkulturen" können in vier Arbeitsbereiche unterteilt werden: Textilkunst, Technikvermittlung, Forschung und Netzwerken/Podium.

Während ETAK haben aktuelle und anvisierte Projekte Vorrang. Nannas Forschungsthema seit 2021, die Textilkünstlerin Lotte Hofmann (1907, Karlsruhe - 1981, Schwäbisch Hall), wird den Besuchern u.a. präsentiert, da ab 28.9.2025 just Hofmann-Werke in einer Ausstellung im Textilmuseum Heidelberg zur Schau gestellt werden.

In den letzten drei ETAK-Mitwirkungsjahren hat Nanna bereits Brücken mit ihrer Heimat gebaut und bedeutende Kulturakteurinnen zur Beteiligung eingeladen. Sie freut sich ankündigen zu dürfen, dass dieses Jahr Taina Laaksonen, Kulturproduzentin und Designmanagerin in Tampere, Finnland, als Kooperationspartnerin zugesagt hat.

Am Freitag und Samstag stellen Taina und Nanna ihre Arbeit aus, freuen sich über Besucher_innen und Gespräche und führen Impulsvorträge durch. Mi einer Virtual-Reality kann eine Kunstausstellung in Finnland "besucht" werden. Interessierte können "Communal Stitching" (gemeinschaftliches Sticken) ausprobieren. Spuren können mit Garn und Nadel auf einem textilen Stoffträger hinterlassen werden... alles ohne Vorkenntnisse, nach Lust und Laune.

Textilaffine, Kulturinteressierte und Neugierige sind herzlich eingeladen vorbeizuschauen. Die Veranstaltung ist kostenfrei.

Nanna once again opens her backyard studio-door during ETAK (in English: "EDAC, European Days of Arts and Crafts") on Friday and Saturday. Like last year, Nanna and her collaboration partner are invited to the Textile Museum Heidelberg (Textilsammlung Max Berk, a branch of the prominent Kurpfälsisches Museum Heidelberg) on ETAK-Sunday.

2002 JEMA "Journées européennes des metiers d'art" (in Germany ETAK "Europäische Tage des Kunsthandwerks") was launched in Paris, France. It was the beginning of the today 24-European-countries strong network of arts & crafts makers, ambassadors and promoters. Always on the same weekend, once a year in spring, all accredited EDAC-members welcome visitors to their studios or venues. Workshops, talks, collaborations-projects, exhibitions, etc. are showcased. Always on a designated weekend in spring across Europe. 2025 it takes place in 24 countries around Europe on the weekend of 4 - 6 April. By clicking on the blue logo you access the German ETAK-platform that is divided according to the federal states. Stuttgart is the capital of the state Baden-Württemberg.

Nanna, a native of Finland, joined BdK " Bund der Kunsthandwerker Baden-Württemberg e.V." in 2017. She is thus qualified to participate in ETAK/ EDAC. In the _nannatextiles studio workshop, no textile items are produced for the textile market, although e.g. looms are set up in the back of studio. Nanna's activities in the “World of Textile Cultures” is divided into four areas of work: Textile Art, Research, Technique Education and Networking/Podium.

During the ETAK-Event Nanna and Taina present their current work. Taina has many projects to talk about. She brings along virtual-reality (VR) glasses. A VR-arts-and-crafts exhibition in Finland can be "visited" that was showcased by the registered association "Modus ry in Tampere" last year. Modus promotes professional design, arts and crafts. Taina recently assisted in their accredition-process of becoming an erasmus+ unit in Finland. Nanna discusses e.g. her research topic since 2021, the textile artist Lotte Hofmann (1907, Karlsruhe - 1981, Schwäbisch Hall). It is momentous because of her involvement in the upcoming Hofmann-exhibition starting in late September at the Textile Museum Max Berk in Heidelberg.

For the last three ETAK-years, Nanna has already built bridges (this year's motto is "Art Craft Builds Bridges") with her native country and invited important cultural players from Finland to visit her studio workshop for the ETAK-event. Nanna is pleased that Taina Laaksonen, cultural producer and design manager in Tampere, joins her in the 2025-ETAK-event.

On Friday and Saturday, Taina and Nanna will be giving powerpoint-talks about their respective work, past and present. Both Nanna and Taina are looking forward to meeting many visitors. A small exhibition is planned. Also "communal stitching" can be tried out by the visitors: eveyrone can leave marks-with-thread on a fabric without any prior knowledge of stitching/ embroidery.

Textile enthusiasts, those interested in culture and the curious about arts and crafts are cordially invited to visit _nannatextiles. The event is free of charge.
