Kunstliebhaber_innen und Textilfans sind am 9. Februar herzlich nach Heidelberg-Ziegelhausen in die Textilsammlung Max Berk eingeladen. Die bereits neunte (!) Edition der Europäischen Quilttriennale, 9. EQT, wird von der Initiatorin der wichtigen Textilkunstschau, Dr. Kristine Scherer, und einer der Jurorinnen, Nanna, um 11 Uhr eröffnet. Vier Auszeichnungen werden verliehen. Die 9. EQT-Ausstellung, die fünfundvierzig Werke aus zehn Ländern Europas beinhaltet, verläßt die Zweigstelle des Kurpfälzischen Museums Heidelberg im Mai, um zum Ausstellungsreiseziel Nummer 2 in die Schweiz aufzubrechen.

Bereits ab 23. Mai lockt die 9. EQT-Textilkunst Besucher in das bedeutende ostschweizerische Textilmuseum St. Gallen an. In der Textilsammlung des 1878 gegründeten "Industrie- und Gewerbemuseums St. Gallen" sind Gewebe und Stickereien aus aller Welt, Musterbücher und Entwurfszeichnungen untergebracht. Die Textilbibliothek können Besucher ohne Voranmeldung im Museum auch kennenlernen. Vadianstr. 2 ist fußläufig nur 5 Minuten von der UNESCO-Weltkulturerbestätte St. Galler Stiftskirche entfernt.

Im Herbst 2025, ab 10. Oktober, kann die spannende 9. EQT-Ausstellung wieder in Deutschland, im Kreismuseum Zons (bei Düsseldorf) besucht werden. Als vierte und letzte Location der 9. EQT-Reise konnte das mit Bedacht restaurierte Textilindustriedenkmal Finlayson Area in Tampere, gewonnen werden. Das Finale der Textilschauwanderung findet vom 16. Januar bis zum 15. Februar 2026 in Finnland statt. "Taitoliitto" und "Suomen käsityön ystävät" (Friends of Finnish Handicrafts) sind wertige Kooperationspartner für das 9. EQT-Textilevent, das nicht in einem Museum sondern im idealen "vooninki" Kunstraum in Finlayson Area, Tampere, aufgebaut wird. Als Programm sind Textiltechnik-Workshops, Impulsvorträge, Künstlerpräsentationen und Führungen anvisiert.

In Heidelberg-program: ETAK* afternoon with Nanna and Taina Laaksonen on Sunday, 6 April (2 - 4 pm)

Art lovers and textile fans are cordially invited to the Max Berk Textile Collection in Heidelberg-Ziegelhausen on February 9. The ninth (!) edition of the European Quilt Triennial, 9. EQT, will be opened by the initiator of the important textile art show, Dr. Kristine Scherer, and one of the jurors, Nanna, at 11 am. Four awards will be presented. The 9. EQT exhibition, which includes forty-five works from ten European countries, departs from Heidelberg for Switzerland in May, the exhibition destination number two.

Starting on May 23 visitors are encouraged to visit the 9.EQT at the important St. Gallen Textile Museum in eastern Switzerland. The textile collection of the “St. Gallen Museum of Industry and Trade”, founded in 1878, houses textiles and embroideries from all over the world, pattern books and design drawings. The textile library is also a must for every visitor of the magnificent museum. And, Vadianstr. 2 is only a 5-minute walk from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of St. Gallen Abbey Church!

In autumn 2025, starting October 10, the 9. EQT is again in Germany, at the Kreismuseum Zons (near Düsseldorf). The fourth and final location of the art-show-journey is the carefully restored Finlayson Area textile heritage site in Tampere. The Finland-finale of the 9. EQT-exhibition takes place from January 16 - February 15, 2026. “Taitoliitto” and ‘Suomen käsityön ystävät’ (Friends of Finnish Handicrafts) are valuable cooperation partners in the Tampere textile event. Here the four prize-winning and the other 40+ European are showcased, not in a museum venue, but in ‘vooninki’ art space at Finlayson Area, Tampere. During the exhibition textile technique workshops, impulse lectures, artist presentations and guided tours are planned.
